Edda Design

Case
Even though they are full of potential, microcars still lack market notoriety in Europe. They have been held back by deficient style and performance, managing only to appeal to those who can't obtain a driving license or have lost it.

Challenge
We wanted to dignify the idea of the microcar and make it a valuable product in its own right. In order to do that, we needed to find out which unattended needs of the market could it fulfill, and design it accordingly with a look and a set of features that would differentiate it from regular microcars.

Solution
Jacaré was designed in the playful spirit of cars like the Mini Moke. It has a modern, slick look, it's convertible, it has two trunks, a mini-fridge, and the interior can be washed with water just like the exterior. It's an optimal solution, first of all, for those who have a second residence and could use a small and environmentally friendly car to travel short distances and do the shopping. It's also a very attractive to young people over the age of 16, and it's also ideal for rentals and product promotions.
